Casa de las Campanas was originally founded by teachers. In fact, our iconic bell tower was built to evoke a school bell. That spirit of personal growth and community betterment has never left Casa. Our residents reach beyond our campus to improve the lives of vulnerable members of the San Diego area, including the homeless population and premature babies. And a portion of the Casa Foundation’s funds provides scholarships to Casa team members.

testimonial "Yes, I made the right decision moving here to Casa. With only my brother in law, living far from here, I gave him a present. I just said, "I'm in a safe place where I will receive care for the rest of my life and you don't have to worry about me". Such was the important part, he wouldn't have to worry if something happened and I needed help. As a retired RN, the availability of assisted living, rehab and extended care, if needed, was within the community. Immediately, i called Casa ...A Cruise Ship without the Water. Everything is here from exercise classes to educational classes. I found the employees to be at the top of the line.. yes, I love my new home with my Casa family ." roberta mikles
testimonial "I am very appreciative of the peace of mind CASA gives my family. Not only for my parents who live there but for my brother and myself. We know that my parents have assistance only minutes away for any type of issue they might encounter - from maintenance in their apartment to emergency services to follow up care for any health issues. That might be changing a bandage on a minor cut to recovering in the rehab center from a major surgery. The most important aspect however to me is the social benefits they enjoy. They can join clubs, stay active with pools and indoor gym; participate in all kinds of physical activities, hobbies, see live entertainment, meet for weekly games, meet up with friends at the various eating options. From an informal "cocktails in the hall" to a spectacular theater show put together by residents for all to enjoy to a fine dining experience. They also frequent the sports and entertainment venues of San Diego with the comfort and ease of a shuttle service. When I visit them I feel like I am at a resort. I get a chance to hike nearby, enjoy fine dining at La Terraza and participate in lively conversations with the friends they have made. And let's not forget the incredible and caring staff of CASA. Everyone has a smile and I believe they truly care about my parents. Recently, our family went through a tough time with the passing of our mother. Everyone knew what we were going through and afterwards, they took time to give us their condolences and remember our dear mother. CASA honored her memory with a memorial service and flowers and a notice in their beautiful Sur lobby. Residents and staff of CASA made a point to keep close to my father and offer him comfort and friendship during this difficult time. I continue to sleep well knowing my father is independent and thriving and if something should change, he will be assisted in that process. Thank you CASA." Simone St Laurent
testimonial "I'm glad my parents choose to move into Casa de las Companas in 2022. As an out of stat son I have piece of mine that they are surrounded by both an active social community and a medical team that cares about their well being 24/7. Every time I visit I'm able to focus on socializing and relaxing rather than assisting and problem solving" Kevin St. Laurent
